On September 13, I was watching the Yankees-Rangers game.  The Rangers brought in a relief pitcher named Michael Kirkman.  I was so proud of him and so excited to see it!  In Lake City, FL, I coached him in the Babe Ruth league.  You can’t imagine how proud a coach can be to see one of his players make it to the Big League!

I’m Mike DiPatri, a former writer for Fanstop.com.  I contributed a weekly column there from Oct 2003 until late 2004 when it went off line.  Since FanStop.com is now off line, feel free to use these articles as you like.  Be sure, however, to use my byline. I have written them from my observation of things happening in the world of sports.  Though a Yankees fan, I write about anything in sports that interests me.  I’m sure you’ll find something about your team or your interest here.  Remember this work is my take on sports.  You may disagree with it, and that’s ok.  After all, I just try to “call ‘em as I see ‘em.”  I have not included all my work here.  There is only my most recent work.   If you want to see some of my older stuff, go to the archive.  The button for that page is on my Articles page.  If you want to see even older stuff contact me and I’ll post it.  I hope you enjoy what you read, and feel free to contact me with any comments you may have.   Also check back here weekly, as I will be adding more articles.  If you have any ideas or suggestions, I’d like to hear them.  Contact me at mike@mikestakeonsports.com.  I’d also love to hear your thoughts or any critical review you may have.   Hope to hear from you soon!

Thanks,

Mike
